Dr Rakesh is an expert clinician in the field of dermatology with special interest in dermatosurgery. Trained under stalwarts in dermatology as a resident at the prestigious Jawaharlal institute of postgraduate medical education and research, he has a wide experience in performing various surgical procedures related to dermatological conditions like earlobe repair, keloid surgeries, nail surgeries, vitiligo surgeries, scar revisions, mole removal, key hole surgery for lipomas to name a few.

  • IADVL gold medal in Dermatology in the year 2015, JIPMER.
  • 1st prize in award paper category in CODFICON 2014, Srinagar.
  • 1st prize for e-poster in DERMAZONE south, 2014, Pondicherry.
  • 1st prize for award paper in CUTICON 2013, Pondicherry.
  • Presented e-poster in World Congress of Dermatology, Milan in 2019.
  • Has given talks in various state and national conferences.
  • Has publications in reputed journals and has authored chapters in the book, Puzzling cases of Pediatric dermatology
